Studio Policies

Payment Procedures
- Invoices will be emailed on the 20th of each month for the next month's lessons. Invoices must be paid by the 25th of the month.

 

- A $10 late fee will be assesed on the 26th of the month. Non-payment may result in the loss of the child's spot in a group or private lesson time slot. 

Attendance

  •  Lesson times are a standing weekly reservation. 

  • If a private lesson must be missed, cancellation must be made through the student portal at least 24 hours before the lesson.  The lesson can then be rescheduled at the student and teacher's mutual convenience. Make-up lessons must be taken within 30 days of the missed lesson. 5 make-up credits will be granted per year (September- August)

  • There are no make-ups for missed group lessons,  no-show private lessons, or private lessons cancelled with  less than 24 hours' notice

  • Students arriving late will not be given extra time to make up for their tardiness. 

  • Lesson dates coincide with the DeKalb County School Calendar.  Check the Music The Wright Way Calendar to confirm lesson dates

  • Although it is rare, if the teacher has to cancel a lesson, options for make-up times will be posted to accomodate students

  • If the DeKalb school district dismisses early, cancels evening activities, or cancels school due to inclement weather rescheduled lesson times will be posted

Private Studio Procedures

  • Please be careful while entering and leaving the studio and while in the studio.  Music The Wright Way is not responsible for accidents. 

  • Please do not drop your child off more than 5 minutes before their lesson time. If you need to speak with Mrs. Wright, you may do so during your child's lesson time.   

  • The teacher is only responsible for the well-being of your child during his/her scheduled lesson time

  • Students are to have used the restroom and washed their hands prior to coming to their lesson.

  •  No food, gum or drink is allowed in the studio.  No smoking in the studio or on the studio property.

  • Students using their own instrument are expected to have it in good working order upon arrival. 

  • Students will bring all materials to every lesson.  A tote bag is recommended for all music books and a folder for papers

  • During the lesson the parent may sit across from the lesson studio to wait for the student unless the student needs assistance.

  • Parents do not have to stay for the lesson but they must be on time to pick up their child.

Day Care/After School Group Lesson Procedure

 

  • Mrs. Wright will visit the classrooms of the registered students. Student's names will be called aloud by Mrs. Wright or the group leader.  Students are expected to attend lessons if they are present.

  • Students are to have used the restroom and washed their hands prior to coming to their lesson.

  • Questions are welcomed, but excessive talking is not.

  •  No food, gum or drink is allowed in the designated lesson area.

  • Students using their own instrument are expected to have it in good working order upon arrival. 

  • Students will bring all materials to every lesson.  A tote bag is recommended for all music books and a folder for papers.
